West Chelsea Contemporary is the new leading museum-style fine art gallery located right in Downtown Austin. The 8,000 square foot gallery directed by Lisa Russell is a rebrand of the Russell Collection Fine Art. The former gallery has operated in Austin since 2002, with Lisa Russell establishing herself as Austin’s premier art dealer for contemporary fine art.

The vision behind the gallery’s rebrand is to feature work from Austin’s sprawling local art scene as well as internationally recognized artists including Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, and Takashi Murakami.

We attended the THIS IS NOW collectors exhibition on February 6th. This was an immersive exhibition introducing Austin to the West Chelsea Contemporary mission of producing museum-worthy shows with collections for both the casual and the passionate art collectors.
