We’re all pretty excited about the Mavs winning the NBA national championship on Sunday. It’s no question that we’ve all waited a long time for this to happen and no one deserves it more than the Mavs do. They played with their hearts and they played like friggin’ champions. Now that the Mavs are back in Dallas, what better way to congratulate our home team than to celebrate with hundreds of thousands of fans at the Victory Parade this Thursday.

The biggest sporting event is coming to our city and with big sporting events comes big parties. The good folks over at Susie Drinks and Dallas Socials have listed over 100 events and parties going on in Dallas – from Fair Park, Victory Park, Downtown and beyond. See performances by the Black Eyed Peas, Snoop Dogg, Flaming Lips, Passion Pit, and Cirque du Soleil. Some of these parties will break the bank but don’t let that stop you from having fun. There’s something for everyone. Here we go – Let’s get this party started!

Be a part of Christmas on Greenville Avenue and give a gift to a child in need.

The Restaurant Association’s goal is to have 100 restaurants and retailers collect 10,000 toys in 20 days. From now until December 17th, 2009, bring a new and unwrapped toy to one of the participating locations. Toys will be collected on December 17th and delivered to the WFAA studio in Victory Park for a live event from 5-10pm.
