Despite the on-and-off drizzle and the cooler temperatures, the masses came out for the Untapped Beer and Music Festival in Fort Worth. Personally, I was the one hoping the weather would keep away more people, leaving shorter beer lines for the rest of us.
Beer and music have always been great together. They practically go hand-in-hand, as seen by the explosion of the popularity of the Untapped Music and Beer Festival. Now, breweries are starting to jump on the same trend. Dogfish Head Brewery has an entire line up of music inspired beers, including: Miles Davis Bitches Brew Imperial Stout and most recently the Grateful Dead American Beauty IPA.
With the successful addition of the CANNED Festival in Denton and Untapped: Houston, the Untapped Festival comes back to the Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth this year on March 8th. To date, the 2013 Fort Worth Untapped Festival has been the highest attended event so far in the series, and they don’t plan on slowing down any time soon.
Another successful Untapped Festival has come and gone. The second annual beer and music festival ran smoothly despite the typical Texas summer heat.
The Paste Untapped music and beer festival is coming back to Dallas on September 7th. While I am gushing over the lineup of Delta Spirit, the Cults, and Freelance Whales, I am even more excited for the lineup of over 200 beers represented by over 60 different breweries from across the U.S. and world.
Take the Margaret Hunt Hill West to the Untapped Festival, which will inhabit Trinity Groves from 1 to 11 p.m. (even earlier if you’re a VIP) on September 8. There will be plenty of beer to try and bands to listen to, but here are two of the day’s selections you won’t want to miss.
