The most anticipated event of the year, the 19th annual Deep Ellum Arts Festival, transforms six city blocks of Main Street in the Deep Ellum entertainment district into a spectacular visual and performing arts festival featuring 200 juried decorative and visual artists from throughout the country, 100 original bands, singer/songwriters and performance artists performing only original music from 5 different stages, bountiful food and drink and the renowned Sunday Pet Parade. An “Arty Party” for all of the senses, this unique gathering with tantalizing sights, sounds and flavors showcases everything that makes Deep Ellum the most interesting and evolving neighborhood in the Metroplex. Maggie McClure and Shane Henry (newlyweds originally from OK but now based out of Los Angeles) are playing a show at The Prophet Bar opening for Derek Webb. Also opening is Paige CXVI.
Maggie and Shane’s original music has recently been featured on MTV, CBS, and E! shows, as well as movie Cowgirls N’ Angels (which premiered at the Dallas International Film Festival 2012).
