Master illusionist Rob Lake will be bringing Christmas magic to Dallas, literally. Rob is arguably the world’s top magician and has a stash of accolades to support this statement. In 2008, he was given the “Merlin Award”, which is bestowed to the International Stage Magician of the Year.
Even though the temperatures may not quite indicate it yet, winter is definitely coming. Â At this year’s Dallas Untapped Festival in Fair Park, we saw the likes of those heavy heart-warming beers, from thick barrel-aged stouts, to big-sipping barleywines, to even a few oddities here and there. A few highlights from this year’s festival: Stouts: […]

At around 6:30 p.m., our evening began at the Automotive Building. This is where they held Taste of the Town, the VIP Indoor Tasting Experience and main attraction for many of the night’s attendees. Upon entering, we were greeted by other businesses symbolic of the area and Dallas culture. Imagine the large, car-filled, air-conditioned concrete building from the State Fair’s car show. Now remove the cars and envision large booths and tables on said floor with the likes of Albertsons, the Farmer’s Market and other neighborhood tchotchke shops.

The Big Texas Beer Fest returns to Dallas’ Fair Park on April 5th after two highly successful events in 2012 and 2013. Named as Dallas Observer’s best beer festival two years in a row, and drawing more than 5,000 attendees last year, the event will be held in same location in Fair Park’s Automobile Building. This year’s event intends to attract nearly 100 breweries, believed to be the most of any Texas beer festival, including over 25 breweries from the state of Texas.
Formerly known as “Dallas Beer Week,” the 3rd Annual North Texas Beer Week descends upon us next week. This is the first year that the week-long celebration will be completely run by DFW-based organizers. For an entire week across the entire Metroplex.
