Could Suburbia Music Festival in Plano be the Next Coachella or Bonnaroo?
While the Dallas music festival scene isn’t quite like the big boys in Tennessee or California yet, the ‘burbs seem to be on the right track. Music lovers, feast your ears on Suburbia: a two-day, mixed-genre music festival right in our backyard.
What’s The Lineup Look Like?
When comparing a festival to the gods of music fests such as Bonnaroo and Coachella, you can only hope that there’s more to the lineup than local acts that, while may be great, you’ve probably never heard of. Good news, popular music fan: you’ve heard of (and love) the bands they’re bringing in. Headlining the festival are big wigs David Guetta, Alabama Shakes, and J. Cole. Think about it: all different genres, more great people watching. And just when you thought “But where is the indie? The 90s pop? The rock?†just let me finish, Kanye. Performers include Tegan and Sara, Slightly Stoopid, Third Eye Blind, Blue October, The Dandy Warhols, Violent Femmes, Needtobreathe, Hoodie Allen, Yelawolf, Midlake, American Authors…*takes a breath*…and a ton of others that are just waiting to make sweet music love to you.
You can buy a single or a two-day pass for the fest, but at the super reasonable prices that they’re offering, feel free to go over the top and purchase a VIP upgrade complete with premium viewing of all the stages, an express lane at public entrances, an exclusive lounge with a full-service cash bar, and even upgraded fancy bathrooms. Got a kid you can’t get rid o—err, find a sitter for? Kids under 10 get in free with a paid adult.
