Second Annual Steinfest in Downtown Plano This Weekend
Historic Downtown Plano’s 2nd Annual Steinfest will be held this Saturday, October 29 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will take place in the Downtown Plano Arts District. Steinfest is an Oktoberfest-style festival that was a community hit in 2015.
Don’t miss out on all of the music, competitions, bier, food, shopping, and fun that will be at Steinfest this year,†said Alex Hargis, Executive Director of the Historic Downtown Plano Association. “There’s even going to be a wiener dog fashion show!â€
The wiener dog fashion show is one of several Steinfest activities, and will take place at 11 a.m.. Wiener dogs can be registered for the competition at steinfest.org. Other activities include keg bowling, the Masskrugstemmen strong man competition and children’s crafts and games.
Some of this year’s entertainment acts include the Flying Balalaika Brothers and the Chardon Polka Band. The entertainment will be in McCall Plaza, while craft vendors will be set up on 15th Street.
Steinfest VIP packages are also available for purchase. VIP packages cost $40 and include 20 food and drink coupons, a t-shirt, a commemorative stein and access to the VIP beer garden with a private bar. For more information, visit www.steinfest.org.
