Themed “CELEBRATING TEXAS INNOVATION,” this year’s exposition kicks off on Friday, September 28 in historic Fair Park. Adding to its annual offering of more than 100 free attractions, 70 Midway rides, and endless activities across the fairgrounds, the State Fair is excited to announce several new attractions lined up for the 2018 event.

Gelato Festival World Masters is the most important event dedicated to Artisan Italian Gelato. It is a challenge of Gelato Chefs that recognizes the greatest flavors through competition. During the course of the next three years, five thousand Gelato Chefs from all over the world, will be competing against one another for a chance to participate in the 2021 grand finals in Italy. Only the best 36 gelato chefs will remain to battle for the title of Gelato Festival World Master.
