Nerv Gallery Presents Abnormal Artbeats
The Nerv Gallery will be presenting Abnormal Artbeats to celebrate the grand re-opening of their recently remodeled gallery space later this month. In addition to a solo art exhibit presented by Adu, this event will  also include live music, food trucks and several live art workshops appropriate for all ages.
Adu’s exhibit will feature mixed-media pieces, paintings, photography and film inspired by a range of influences including nature, his own heritage, and personal life experiences. A few of the workshops include:
3D Printing and Modeling:  Explore cutting edge technology by posing for a 3D printed figurine. Facilitated by Taylor Ratliff.
Portrait Expressionism: Participants will learn to explore portrait expressionism (with emotion) using acrylic paint on canvas. Facilitated by Matthew Barnes.
Spin Art: This will be an interactive workshop where anyone will sit at the potter’s wheel and drop paint on a spinning sheet of paper powered by the potter’s wheel. Facilitated by Amy Marie Mahler.
Wearable Fiber Art:  Transform consumer waste into fashion forward arm jewelry. Facilitated by Chesley Antoinette.
I don’t know about anyone else, but this definitely sounds like my kind of art show. Be sure to mark your calendars!
