Annual Irving Main Street Event Great for Whole Family
This annual street festival in the heart of the Irving Heritage District celebrates the hometown feel of Irving with attractions for all ages. Each year thousands of people attend this family affair, which offers live music, the Manifolds on Main Street Car Show, free rides and activities for children, food and shopping.
Friday evening features live music and free children’s activities. On Saturday the festival expands to include a car show, additional children’s entertainment and a Craft Marketplace with vendors selling crafts, jewelry, décor, apparel and more.
Bring the kids to enjoy face painting, balloons, inflatable rides, and a cheer competition on the Children’s Stage! Squads from the Irving Girls Cheerleader Association will be judged on jumps, cheers and dance. The Family Fun Zone offers even more free activities on Saturday. In addition to the attractions from Friday, there will be pony rides, a petting zoo, a Build and Grow station with Lowe’s Home Improvement, and puppet shows provided by the Irving Public Libraries throughout the day.
The Manifolds on Main Street Car Show is an annual tradition, featuring classics, antiques, show cars, trucks and motorcycles. Public admission is free; stop by to view the vehicles and enjoy the sounds of the rock ‘n roll DJ.
Over 50 booths of crafters line Main Street, featuring artists, jewelers, woodworking and more. The marketplace is a great opportunity to begin holiday shopping and find unique gift items. Several City of Irving departments will also be on-site to share information about resident services and free giveaways (while supplies last).
No festival is complete without great food! Vendors will be located near the Main Stage and the Children’s Stage with a variety of tasty eats and cold treats such as; Doc’s Street Grill, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, Pappy’s Mobile Café, Pineapple Grill Texas, Steel City Pops and 4M Concession.
