Adding to the food festival circuit this fall in the DFW area is the newest event from Klyde Warren, Park & Palate. Promising celebrity chefs, multiple cooking and tasting demos, live music, and a VIP experience, this event stands out for the location alone. Taking place in the heart of Dallas this Friday and Saturday, Park & Palate features a variety of cuisines paired expertly with wine, beer, and cocktails.Friday’s signature event, Down To The Roots, features some of the best chefs in town competing to create the best comfort food with a modern twist. Participating chefs include Julio Peraza of Proof + Pantry and Madrina, John Tesar of Knife, Tyson Cole of Uchi and Uchiko, Becky Mason of Fluff Cake Bar, and countless others.
Saturday hosts the Grand Tasting, a presentation by 30 chefs and 30 wineries as well as an open bar with a plethora of spirit and craft cocktail tastings. If that doesn’t make your mouth water, there will also be free cooking demonstrations and book signings throughout the duration of the day. Chefs featured in the Grand Tasting include Joel Harrington of Bolsa, Matt Orth of Lark on the Park, Michael Martensen of Proof + Pantry and Madrina, Omar Flores of Casa Rubia, Todd Duplechan of Lenoir, Sarah Snow of The Grape, Richard Blankenship of CBD Provisions, Timothy Rattay of The Granary ‘Cue and Brew, Danyele McPherson of Remedy, among many others.

Although this event is 21 and up, Klyde Warren will keep true to its mission of providing entertainment for all age groups with family-friendly activities on the East Lawn. All proceeds from the events will go towards Klyde Warren Park, so attending this festival and treating your palate can almost be considered doing charity work.
