Just one week from today, September 17th, Dallas will be the white hot spot for one of the world’s most exclusive dinner parties, Diner en Blanc. Everyone wants an exclusive invite to a dinner event that calls for specific attire and a top secret location. With only the most cultured, best-of-the-best cities on the agenda, it’s only fitting that Dallas has gained that recognition this year.

For the past 27 years, Diner en Blanc has been a pop-up event. Starting in France, this event has been held in some of the most beautiful spots around the world. Resembling that of a “chic-picnic”, thousands of locals, elegantly dressed in all white, attend with the shared enthusiasm for a truly unique experience.

The 1,200 invite-only guests are expected to arrive with their own dinner amenities, including: all white table, chairs, and a picnic basket filled with food. Guests also have the option to have the food catered from Dallas’ own Wolfgang Puck Catering and Stems of Dallas. Besides the original excitement of packing for a night of a classic French-style community picnic, the ‘en Blanc’ guests are given a location to meet with their table group on public transit or chartered buses. As a group they will then arrive at the location that they only become aware of not longer before the event.

“Each event is headed by passionate local organizers whom fell in love with the concept and wanted to bring it to their city and add their local flair, yet respecting the event’s core values all the while,” explains The Diner en Blanc site.

With the a passion for Dallas, local hosts Rachael Kissel, Marti Fox, and Karen Raehpour, took it upon themselves to vie for the event to be held right here in the Big D. The fact that Kissel, Fox, and Raehpour are full-time, professional event planners might have helped fuel the flame for a guaranteed amazing soiree for Dallas.

Though Diner En Blanc is completely sold out this go around, there’s always next year. Let’s be honest, it’s never too early to get on the waiting list.
