First Annual Deep Ellum Urban Race and Block Party
Life in Deep Ellum and Mokah Coffee Bar will be hosting the first annual Deep Ellum Urban Race and Block Party the first weekend in May.
The race will encourage teams to work together to complete tasks such as mural painting, crafting instruments and solving brain bending challenges that celebrate the unique nature of one of Dallas’ most historic neighborhoods. Then in true Deep Ellum fashion, after the race, participants can expect a good time at the Block Party which is free and open to the public. There will be live music, food trucks, hand-crafted beer from Deep Ellum Brewery, DJs, tournament-style lawn games, a silent auction, raffle prizes and more.
This creative scavenger hunt and party will serve as a fundraiser to revitalize the Deep Ellum community cultural center. Through its four pillars of Art, Music, Commerce and Community, Life in Deep Ellum strives to promote life and growth in our city through creative initiatives.
Did I mention, first place winners will be awarded $300 cash, second place winners get tickets to see the Dallas Mavericks and third place winners will receive gift cards to local Deep Ellum restaurants?
All the more reason to join in the festivities!
