Deep Ellum Arts Festival is Awesomely Free
Deep Ellum Arts Festival is “a free street festival with art, 100+ hours of free music, and culture.”
That’s what I’m talking about! As if this weekend could not be any more exciting than it already is, I came across this: The 15th Annual Deep Ellum Arts Festival is a 3-day party with 75 bands playing on 4 stages, and over 100 “top-notch juried” artists showcasing and selling their work. I remember last year, literally stumbling upon this festival after having lunch on Commerce St. at Twisted Root Burger with my folks. Not knowing what it even was, we wondered around Deep Ellum just admiring the art, music, and people. It was an awesome Saturday afternoon. I’ll definitely be (officially) going again this year. Oh, that, and ordering a veggie burger with sweet potato chips at Twisted Root.
The festival begins this Friday, April 3rd from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. Starts up again on Saturday, April 4th from 11:00am to 10:00pm and then Sunday, April 5th from 11:00am to 7:00pm.

The Deep Ellum Association and The Deep Ellum Foundation, 501(C)(3) organizations benefit from this annual free-to-attend community festival.
