Dallas has ad agencies, and for the last five to eight years these agencies have touted the power of digital marketing for their customers and clients.  Outside of branding and digital advertising,  back in September the people of Dallas saw the true power of their voice via Twitter when an ordnance that would have hamstrung the beloved Uber was going to go on without debate via the city council. A grassroots group of fans of the service and created 100s of tweet using the hashtag #DallasNeedsUber in support of the company with links to the city councils’ inboxes. With this uprising, Mayor Mike Rawlings decided to table the topic for another time. That’s the power of digital media.

Even if you’re not in marketing, PR, or advertising, all leadership needs to be aware of the latest strategies for when a crisis takes place, or an opportunity presents itself.  Speaking of Twitter, Brent Herd who is the Director of Southeast for Twitter will also be speaking.
