Dallas Businesses Dive In To Help Houston Flood Victims
Dallas businesses are all in on helping out our fellow Texans down south in Houston and other affected areas. This post is an attempt at recording the work being done by Dallas area businesses. Cowboys Red River – Is holding a donation drive and a raffle for a brand new pair of cowboy boots on Friday September 1st. 100% of all proceeds from the raffle will be going to relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey by hiring contractors to fix all water damage, if you need to hire one yourself, visit them at the link.

Deep Ellum Brewing Company – Has lowered the price to attend the Labor of Love Homebrew Festival and Competition on Sunday September 3rd to $15 and is matching each $15 purchase with a $15 donation to relief efforts in the Greater Houston and South Texas areas. They have also sent an employee and the Dallas Blonde Sprinter (van) to Regio, TX to help deliver food.

Truck Yard – Is holding a No Pants Party on Sunday September 3rd. From 11am to 2am 100% of all sales of Lone Star Draft beer will be donated to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Donate a package of new underwear and get 1 PBR for free. If you take off and donate your gently used pants you’ll get 2 PBR’s for free.

Winners BBQ (Plano) – Is donating a portion of sales to J.J. Watt’s YouCaring Fundraiser through September 2nd with the goal of raising $5,000.

Genius Den – A co-working space in Deep Ellum is offering free office space to displaced Houston businesses and startups.

Jump City – A bounce house and water slide provider has been using their trucks to carry donated supplies between Trusted World and local area shelters.

Lewisville based Jump City’s truck being unloaded at Trusted World. The company has been using their trucks usually filled with bounce houses for kids parties to help deliver donated supplies to shelters for Hurricane Harvey victims.
FUNimation – The Fort Worth based company is donating $10,000 and matching up to $25,000 donated through their relief effort campaign.

Free Play (Richardson) – 100% of the $10 admission fee from 7pm to 11pm will be donated to South Texas food banks.

Kate Weiser Chocolate – Drop off a case of water and get a free box of 2 chocolates. They are also accepting donations of goods needed such as underwear and socks, Non-Perishable food, Toiletries, Feminine hygiene products, Baby diapers, wipes and formula.

Fish City Grill (all locations) – Is donating a portion of sales from each cup of soup sold to relief efforts. No details currently on how much per cup of soup or when this ends.
Monkey King Noodle Co. (all locations) – Are available as a drop off for donations of supplies which will then be moved to Trusted World.
Cattleack Barbeque – Will donate a portion of their profits to the Salvation Army Thursday August 31st through Saturday September 2nd.

Cultivar Coffee (all locations) – Will be hosting a silent auction on September 16th with proceeds going to flooded Houston-area coffee shops to aid in rebuilding.
Full City Rooster – Will donate 10% of all drink sales in September to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

JP & Associates Realtors – Gathered supplies for those impacted by the storms and some employees are currently in Houston working with rescue teams.

Advice Local – A marketing SaaS company in McKinney donated a 2 bedroom corporate apartment at Craig Ranch paying the rent for 6 months to an unnamed Houston business owner who was displaced by the flooding. We are glad that local and and even roofing contractors from different sates have come to help home owners fix their homes and be able to live in a roofed home once again, check these guys out at the link.
Dallas Cowboys – Held a telethon on August 31st with Dak Prescott, Dez Bryant, and other players taking donations over the phone for the Salvation Army. The event raised a little over $2.3 million. Jerry Jones called in and spoke with Dez Bryant pledging $1 million in donations. The event was streamed over Facebook Live by the Dallas Cowboys Facebook page.

Toyota Motor North America (Plano) – Has donated $3,000,000 to hurricane relief efforts including funds to organizations such as the St. Bernard Project and American Red Cross, matching contributions, in-kind donations, volunteerism, and the donation of pre-owned vehicles.
KISS FM – Helping take donations of underwear and socks, Non-Perishable food, Toiletries, Feminine hygiene products, Baby diapers, wipes and formula.

In Bloom Flowers (all locations) – $5 from all orders on Tuesday August 29th will be donated to the Houston Food Bank. In Bloom has locations in Dallas, Carrollton, Lewisville, McKinney, and Plano.
Cane Rosso – 100% of all sales from food and drinks on Tuesday August 29th will be donated to Houston flood relief efforts.

Happiest Hour – Is donating a portion of proceeds on Wednesday August 30th to Hurricane relief efforts and is accepting donations on site of underwear and socks, nonperishable food, toiletries, feminine products, baby diapers, wipes, and formula.
