Common Desk – A Different Co-working Experience
Common Desk was started in Deep Ellum with a vision to create connective, accommodating, and inspiring work spaces that people actually want to come work in day-in and day-out. What makes Common Desk different form ordinary co-working space is the staff culture that essentially combines co-working with hospitality.
Since its inception in 2012, Common Desk opened multiple locations in DFW, Austin, Houston, and recently expanded to Raleigh, North Carolina.
On January 30, we attended the grand opening event for the launch of the newest location in Downtown Dallas. Located inside the Trammell Crow high rise in the Arts District, this Common Desk offers two full floors of co-working spaces ranging from shared desks to a 45-person hospitality suite. The space offers nonparallel amenities including a member-only cocktail lounge.
The grand opening event packed the two floors with people of all ages and backgrounds. Guests were entertained with live music, art installations, complimentary Balcones Whiskey, food, beer & wine, and photo booth activities.
