This will not be one of those times…dreamgirls was nothing short of amazing. From the opening number of “I’m Lookin’ for Something,” the cast of this long-running stage play had the audience captivated. Their energy, their ability to connect with each other and the audience, and their sheer talent were enough to make the hours of the show pass by in mere minutes.

Annual Home Brew Riot Festival in Bishop Arts District
The Bishop Arts District will be closing down North Bishop Avenue this Saturday, June 12th, for the Second Annual Brew Riot Festival. From 6pm to 10pm, taste free samples from 11 homebrewers (like Nasty Nelly’s Strange Brew, MyBlock Miabock, or Mind the GAP Mild) and beers from 9 microbreweries.

Ignite Dallas Back For Round 2 at Granada Theater
Since Ignite’s inception in 2006, the Seattle-bred event has been scheduled in over 100 cities around the world. Dallas made that list back in March 2010 and Round 2 of Ignite Dallas is scheduled for June 2nd at Granada Theater.
