Untapped Fort Worth 2015 Preview
The next round of Untapped Festivals is finally here! In addition to the usual festivals in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston, Untapped has also expanded down I-35 to both Austin (April 18th) and San Antonio. This year, Untapped Fort Worth will be on May 9th at Panther Island Pavilion. While the brewery line up has not been announced yet, this year’s music festival will include the likes of The Lone Bellow, Big Data, and local band Telegraph Canyon. Festival organizer, Spune Productions, boasts that over 70 breweries with over 250 beers will be there touting both local and national breweries.
2015 is the Year Dallas Does Digital Media
It’s a great year in DFW for online media creators. The community here in the metroplex is expanding for those who create media and distribute online. I’m not one to throw exclamation points around willy-nilly, but… We happen to have the best digital conference in the world coming up!

Company Cafe All Day – Learn About What They’re Doing Different this Month
If you’ve lived in Dallas for any significant amount of time, you’ve seen the face of Lower Greenville grow and change over the years. From Steel City Pops to the ever-popular Truck Yard, there’s something for just about everyone. For me, Lower Greenville is a frequent stop not only because it’s fun vibe, but also because of all the local establishments up and down the street. One of my very favorite stops in the area is Company Café. I’ve written about this restaurant before, and in the interest of full disclosure, it really is one of my favorite places in Dallas. Many people are familiar with their commitment to supporting local producers, their wide array of gluten-free menu options, and friendly weight staff. But not many are familiar with the history of the team that has kept Company Café growing and thriving.
5 of the Best Places to See Christmas Lights in Dallas
I was recently told that I take Christmas obsession to a level that is a cross between adorable and terrifying. Whether you fall under the category of obsessed, or just happy about the time off for the holidays, Christmas lights make it feel like the holidays, even when it’s December and 70 degrees outside. The […]
How Supporting Community Nonprofits Supports Dallas
With the holidays upon us, many people take this time to reflect on what they are grateful for — cherished memories with the family become the most important activity to us (if not year round) for a few short months. In this time, many families have come to take up new traditions — like volunteering! […]
Ten years of Art Conspiracy: The Art Con X Photo Recap [Slideshow]
This past weekend Art Con X attracted hundreds of artists, buyers and onlookers to brave the cold and come to an old warehouse near Trinity Groves. The rusted-out warehouse was transformed into an impressively beautiful pop-up gallery and philanthropic gala. The venue was filled with music and original art from over 150 artists, who created […]
Scenes from Decks in the Park Halloween-Eve Season Closer [Slideshow]
If you told me I’d see a devil dog in my lifetime I wouldn’t have believed you – until last night. Dallas didn’t hold back as droves of costumed guests made Decks in the Park their Thursday night outing. Accompanied by the beacon of a rainbow, Decks goers were treated to the most electric event of the season! Tiny tots triumphantly dotted the stage until eventually it was a swarm of costumed madness. I dare someone to name one event, other than the internationally acclaimed Texas State Fair, that brings literally every demographic together — shoulder to shoulder in euphoric harmonious musical bliss.
Untapped Dallas 2014 Happens Saturday, Nov. 1 – Find out What’s New & Different
Here we are again with another Untapped Festival in Dallas on the horizon, except this year it won’t be in the blistering September sun, but in the (slightly) cooler November atmosphere. Â With the date pushed back, it also allowed the festival to be the official kick-off of the second annual North Texas Beer Week. Â Top […]
