Eugene Brave Rock was thrust into the public eye when this year’s blockbuster hit, Wonder Woman, was released in movie theatres. If you were lucky enough to make it to the 2017 Dallas Fan Days in Irving, you could find him seated next to stars like David Tennant and Kristian Nairn. However, Gene’s background is quite different from the other stars in attendance.

Many people, such as myself, grew up watching her on the big screen and were left wondering what happened to the promising young actress after she abruptly exited the Hollywood scene. We were lucky enough to catch up with Mara in an exclusive interview before she makes her first Dallas appearance next weekend.

Dallas Fan Days has just announced the addition of David Tennant, the indomitable Tenth Doctor in the iconic series, who was voted by readers of Doctor Who Magazine as the “Best Doctor.”

The Junior League of Dallas has the distinct pleasure of announcing Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer as the keynote speaker of The Milestones Luncheon, presented by The Kohl Foundation. Spencer, a highly talented actress with a love affair with film, has been featured in a variety of roles since 1986.

On Friday nights, The Naked Stage hosts story-telling and spoken word at Union Coffee. They encourage brave vulnerability by asking people to tell their stories without screens, notes or props: Naked. On any given night, stories and poems will range from funny to inspiring to sentimental.
