Come celebrate Rockwall’s 164th birthday this Saturday at Rockwall Founders Day Festival 2018! Presented by Rockwall Parks and Recreation, this free event will take place at Harry Myers Park all day long from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and features tons of fun for the whole family with live music, food and retail vendors, and a Kids Zone.

Music, Scottish heavy athletics, highland dancing, food, clan tents, children’s area, opening ceremony visit from Scottish Government Delegate, Ms. Joni Smith and more will highlight this year’s festival.

A spectator favorite, Pro-Scottish athletics that include the Caber Toss, Hammer Throw, Weight Throw, Weight Toss, Sheaf Toss and Putting the Stone, will be featured throughout the weekend. Scottish elicacies such as meat pies, haggis and sausage rolls, as well as fish and chips will be just a part of the culinary delights featured in the food court. Vendors offering a myriad of Scots and Celtic wares will also be available.

Taste Addison returns with a weekend full of great food, live music and tons of family fun. A three-day menu of fun, May 18th to 20th, the festival pairs bites from dozens of the town’s favorite eateries with great music at Addison Circle Park.

Dallas’ first ALL local music and arts outdoor festival, now expanded to include many great bands with ties to Texas, continues with an annual celebration of Homegrown music, art, and fun. Fortress Festival is North Texas’ destination music festival.
The annual two-day festival will hold its second edition this April 28 & 29 in Fort Worth’s world renowned Cultural District. Over 20 bands, including Father John Misty, Courtney Barnett, Rapsody and more will perform on two outdoor stages.

Muenster was founded in 1889 by people of German heritage and Catholic faith. This unique German community located in North Texas, of approximately 1,500, is a close-knit family in both kinship and kindred spirit.

The Denton Arts and Jazz Festival is a celebration of the arts in a community known for embracing and nurturing music, dance, choral, drama and the visual arts. The free event is produced by the Denton Festival Foundation, Inc. with the generous support of sponsors such as the Dallas/Fort Worth American Federation of Musicians Local 72-147 and the city of Denton. Held the last full weekend in April at Denton’s Quakertown Park, the event features seven stages of continuous music, fine art, crafts, and food, games and information booths in a beautiful, outdoor setting. The Festival Foundation uses proceeds from booth rentals and concession sales to support the arts throughout the city of Denton. Arts facilities, service organizations, and preservation projects have all been the recipients of the proceeds from past events, in addition to public art for the enjoyment of all.
