Big Texas Beer Fest 2016

BTBF-logo

The 2016 Big Texas Beer Fest will be happening the first weekend in April at the Fair Park Automobile Building spanning two sessions. Last year’s festival featured 120 breweries and 500+ beers and they expect similar numbers this year.

BTBF is well-known as the festival to go to for exclusive/rare beers, one-offs and special firkins. Since brewers never know when beers will be ready, they always release the beer list a week before the event. As you might expect, much of the festival focuses on the emerging North Texas craft beer scene, and Texas craft beer as a whole.

Plenty of food will be available from one of their many food trucks, or local artisanal food vendors. While you eat, you can listen to local/national music acts on the outdoor stage. Featured bands include; Crypt Trip, Rise & Shine, RISHLOO, The Van Sanchez, Shotgun Friday and Dead Flowers.

About BTBF

The Big Texas Beer Fest is Dallas’ original beer festival. After visiting the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) in Denver back in 2010, organizers Chad and Nellie Montgomery were inspired to re-create the same energy here in Dallas. A portion of the proceeds benefit the North Texas Food Bank and as a result of this partnership, they’ve been able to provide almost 115,800 meals to hungry North Texans during the course of 5 years.
