The Big Texas Beer Fest 2013 will take place Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Fairpark Automobile Building. It is North Texas’ second-annual 100% craftbeer inspired festival.

Last year’s festival featured approximately 80 breweries. That number is expected to grow to 100-120 this year. Last year also had about 350 beers, and that number is expected to grow to 400+. The festival will continue to focus heavily on the emerging North Texas craftbeer scene and Texas craftbeer as a whole.

The festival will also feature plenty of food trucks and local artisan food. Free cheese will be available at a cheese sampling station and free locally roasted coffee samples have been also been confirmed.

Music will be performed on the outdoor stage by local act Fish Fry Bingo (the official band of Texas craftbeer – www.fishfrybingo.com) and two more acts to be announced on the official website: www.bigtexasbeerfest.com.

A portion of the proceeds benefit the North Texas Food Bank (www.ntfb.org). Hunger is a problem in North Texas, and 94% of the North Texas Food Bank’s funds go directly to their mission.
