A unique find between the small streets off State and Allen, The Alcove wine bar serves up a decent sized wine by the glass list as well as some hard to find micro-brews. A few appetizers are available but one of the appeals to Alcove is the fact that you can bring your own food. Campisi’s pizza is also on the menu and will be delivered directly to you while enjoying a glass or two of wine. According to the website, The Alcove frequently holds events, however the online calendar was all but empty when this was published. The neighborhood feel of this wine bar is all but forgotten usually in Uptown and it is a welcomed approach.
