First Round of Bands Announced for Homegrown Fest 2013

If the first round of bands serves as an indicator, this will be the best year yet of Homegrown Music and Arts Festival. This morning the first seven bands were announced for the fourth annual Homegrown on May 11, 2013 at Main Street Garden Park. The line-up includes some up-and-coming Texas bands, as well as national acts. See the info from the press release below:
DivineFitsPressPhotoDIVINE FITS. The mind meld of Britt Daniel (Texas native and frontman of Spoon) and Dan Boeckner (Wolf Parade and The Handsome Furs), dubbed Divine Fits, has become one of the most promising collaborations to emerge in a long time. Both of these musicians have separately grown to be regarded as two of the most talented songwriters in the indie world and now the product of their combined talents has manifested in their debut album A Thing Called Divine Fits. http://divinefits.com/
THE BURNING HOTELS. Fort Worth, TX based Burning Hotels have created their own distinctively pop and oblique brand of music, rightfully dubbed by Mark Schectman from KDGE as ‘Sex Wave.’ Make no mistake about it; this is no stab at a trend. This is Pop music. The songs sound exactly as the band wants them to… Full of energy with electronic textures, danceable rhythms and catchy hooks. http://burninghotels.net/music/
MADISON KING. Dallas, TX based soulful country blues band. http://www.madisonkingmusic.com/
