Bring your kids, bring your dog, bring your junk. Spare pARTS Market and Bark Belmont are popping up at 739 Fort Worth Avenue this Saturday, April 26th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., complete with a junk swap, local market, beer garden, dog park, mural painting and live music.

If the thought of waking up at 7 a.m. on a weekend to run 26.2 miles, or even half of that, causes you to question your desire to live, you’re not alone. This Sunday, Dec. 9th, over 25,000 superhumans will run the Dallas Marathon, winding through almost every neighborhood of Dallas before ending at the Dallas Convention Center. Lucky for all of us non-runners, when you take away the part of the marathon that involves physical activity, you’re basically left with a city-wide music festival, foodie extravaganza, and early-morning drinking party.

Though Dallas may conjure up images of cowboys, oil men and shooting ranges, there is an undeniable girly side to the city as well. In response to the “25 Mantastic Things To Do In Dallas” post, here are a few activities for the ladies to enjoy.

The Dallas Design District blog, Jim Lake Companies and Deep Ellum Outdoor Market are teaming up to bring a market to the Design District, aiming to liven the streets of the neighborhood, show Dallasites what it has to offer, and give those living and working in the district a way to celebrate it. On October 4th from 5 to 10 p.m.
