Experience the Asheville Art Walk
Asheville is a mountain town in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The city is known for a sprawling craft beer scene, farm to table restaurants, and the famous Biltmore Estate – America’s largest built private home. Asheville has also turned into one of the most vibrant art communities in the country. In addition to the many fine art galleries downtown, the Asheville Art Museum recently underwent a $24 million renovation. The town’s true local art culture resides on the banks of the French Broad River known as the River Arts District. Former factory buildings have been converted into clusters of artist cooperative studios. Every second Saturday the district hosts special openings, hands-on classes, deomos, music, and block parties as a whole art walk experience.
