2121 Miami Art Basel – Art, Fashion, & NFT

Art Basel returned with a vengeance in 2021 as artists, musicians, art collectors, and the ultra rich flocked to Miami for the 2021 edition. Along with all the contemporary art fairs, high-end parties, and fashion shows, this year the NFT world made a big splash on Miami shores. There is never enough time during Miami Art Week to visit all the shows, but we did our best to cover the different events that make Art Basel a one-of-a-kind phenomenon.

Art Fairs

Spectrum/Red Dot

Spectrum and Red Dot are both curated art fairs set-up for Miami Art Week under one massive structure. While Spectrum is a collection of 150+ independent career artists, studios, and younger galleries, Red Dot Miami showcases 75 of the top galleries from around the world.

Scope

Celebrating its 20th year at Miami Art Week, the critically-acclaimed art fair returned to Miami Beach showcasing over 140 renowned exhibitions.

INK Miami

INK is a unique fair during Miami Art Week because of its focus on modern and contemporary works on paper by internationally renowned artists.

Jada Art Fair

Not only an art fair, Jada Art can be considered an art movement. The organization encourages local artists to produce original work by not following conventional patterns purely out of financial motives. Jada Art embraces their artists as cultural agents and strongly supports the NFT Movement.

Wynwood Walls

Wynwood Walls, the iconic outdoor graffiti museum in Miami, debuted 13 installations for Art Basel with the theme “Agents of Change.”

Private Art Events

Dash Bar

Miami Art Week is a collection of public art fairs and private showings. This year we attended a private event by boutique art representative Alexys Serrins. Dash Bar, a high-end salon in the heart of Brickell, was transformed into an art gallery featuring  live art performance and fashion show.
