Arrive Early | Special Screening of Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson
I recently posted about one of the current books I am reading, “Hell’s Angels”, by Hunter S. Thompson. The story is fascinating and the writing is poetically justifiable. Thompson captures beauty, fear, and hate in describing his first hand experiences with the Hell’s Angels. His life is truly one to pay attention to and study.
AFI Dallas will be screening Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson tomorrow night, Wednesday, July 2 at The Magnolia. The screening starts at 7:30pm, and on AFI’s website they say to arrive early for seats. If you miss the screening, the movie will premier on Friday, July 4 at The Magnolia until undisclosed date. The film features never before seen home movies, audio, and passages from some of his unpublished work. The Director of the film is Alex Gibney whose works include “Who Killed the Electric Car?” and “Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room”.
