Culinary and Musical Superstars Prepare for Addison’s Fork & Cork Festival

If you live in the heart of Dallas, you may not tend to travel to Addison for much more than boots of beer at Oktoberfest. Little did you know, Addison is home to more than 170 restaurants in just 4.3 square miles, making it one of the most unique culinary destinations in the United States. Taking advantage of that is this years brand new festival, Fork & Cork.

Fork & Cork

Fork & Cork spotlights the culinary diversity found among Addison’s chef-driven establishments as well as celebrates guest chefs from some of DFW’s hottest restaurants. The event kicks off with the Fork & Cork Pork Challenge Cook-off (Rhyme time, people): a delicious debate hosted by celebrity guest chef Marcus Samuelsson. More of a grill guy (or gal)? Check out the Live Fire Cooking & Tasting with the king of “Smoke” himself, Chef Tim Byres (Smoke, Chicken Scratch and American Outpost Tavern) while he burns up the grill with tastings straight from the fire. And feel free to get handsy with him. At the Dos XX Main Stage, that is. The best names in the culinary world will perform hands-on demonstrations and tastings. On a liquid diet? There’s plenty of craft beer, wine and liquor to go around at various seminars, and, yes, plenty of tasting.

In addition to the amazing culinary escapades the festival has to offer, a great line up of musical guests is set to perform both day and night. Performances by Dallas String Quartet, Prophets & Outlaws, Whiskey Folk Ramblers, Kelsey Lewis, Greg Schroeder, Red Light Special, The O’s, Telegraph Canyon, Sons of Fathers, and Texas Country Music Legend Pat Green will rock the audience through all of the delicious eating.
