As part of the yearlong celebration of the organization’s 30th year, the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture will hold an Open House to celebrate existing members and new friends. The evening’s program, which begins at 6:30 pm, will spotlight special guests and longtime Institute Fellows Judy and Patrick Kelly as they explore what’s available to theatre goers this summer, both in Dallas and elsewhere. Former drama professors at the University of Dallas and veterans of the Dallas theater scene, the Kellys will both inform and entertain Open House attendees. In addition, the evening will include drawings for door prizes.
In this 30th anniversary year, the Dallas Institute is thrilled to be welcoming new members to the organization. With its purpose of enriching lives through the wisdom and imagination of the humanities, the Institute offer members the opportunity to discover what the humanities have to offer the cultural life of the city through classes, group studies, seminars, symposiums, conferences, civic involvement, and other programs. Memberships start at $75/year, $50/year for teachers. The Open House is a wonderful way to meet new friends and learn about the incredible programs available to all members of the Dallas Institute.
The Open House is free and open to the public. Reservations are requested. Please call Margaret Illingworth, (214) 871-2440. For more information about The Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture, visit www.Dallasinstitute.org.
