A Night of Storytelling at Nouveau 47 Theatre
Storytelling is everywhere – it’s something we all have in common. There are countless moments in our lives that make us laugh or cry and a few of those moments become the stories we love to share with people. We tell stories to educate, entertain or to connect with others; some stories we create on the fly and others are handed down from generation to generation.
I’m a huge fan of The Moth, a non-profit group in NYC that hosts live storytelling events, and This American Life, a weekly program on NPR featuring stories and essays told in first person. I just love a good story – which is why I’m really excited about the upcoming event on Monday at the Nouveau 47 Theater in Fair Park.
It’s the first of NOUVEAU 47’s regular Monday night event and they’re breaking the ice with true tales told from the stage. The theme is THE MOST: EPIC JOURNEY and they have an great line up of storytellers.
The price is $5 to attend and it’s BOYB. Doors open at 7pm. This is certainly one of those unique events in Dallas that has the potential to entertain and enlighten you.
