You’re destined to be inspired by attending this month’s Spark Club event at the Sons of Hermann Hall. The group of social entrepreneurs will collaborate with PechaKucha Night. PechaKucha (pronounced pe-chak-cha, meaning “chit chat” in Japenese) is an international event “for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.”

Several inspiring individuals in the Dallas community will each present 20 images in 6 minutes and 40 seconds, or just 20 seconds per image. The night will move fast, as will your brain.

PechaKucha Night started in 2003 and has been held in 305 cities across the globe. This is the second PKN event to be hosted in Dallas this year.

It’s free, however a $5 contribution is suggested. Cash bar only.

PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of “chit chat”, it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It’s a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.
