Iron Ladies of Liberia is about Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, who is nicknamed the Iron Lady. She is in her first year of office as the first female president of Africa. Sirleaf is Harvard-educated and was one of the initial members of the World Bank. The documentary takes you through Sirleaf’s struggles during office, trying to rebuild a “war-ravaged country, fight rampant corruption and prevent a descent back into war.” She is a mother of 4 sons, 8 grandchildren, and a role-model to all.
