Big Beat Dallas brings live music, 24-hour dining and more to Las Colinas
You may have heard the buzz about a new music and food venue coming to Las Colinas. Meet Big Beat Dallas…. who will bring you live music every single day of the year (with many free concerts), elevated restaurants, a night club and a ranchers market. Excited yet? We sure are. We stopped by for a tour of the new entertainment district located adjacent to Toyota Music Factory. Take a look!
From barbecue to Southern-inspired recipes, tacos and tequila and more, Big Beat Dallas showcases five concepts with a range of food and craft drinks. What’s really cool is that they have an open liquor license. Yep… you can carry your drink anywhere around the complex! The Texas Lottery Plaza, right in the middle of the center, includes two stages for live music and two outdoor bars. There are also five more smaller music stages within the complex.
This delicious Frito Pie bag comes topped with shredded brisket, jalapenos, cheese, peppers and sour cream. You can find this and more finger-licking BBQ menu items at Highway 61 South, located on the first level. The restaurant is named after the “blues highway.” So guests can catch local blues artists performing every night inside the restaurant.
24-hour dining will soon begin at Big Beat Dallas at its southern-inspired restaurant called Texas Jam House. Pictured above is a sample of the meatloaf, and all meats on this entire property come from Billy Bob’s family ranch in Texas. A breakfast menu is served here all day, and some of the menu highlights include Chicken Fried Steak, Cheesy Grits and a huge bloody mary that comes with a small glass of Shiner Boch as a chaser or mixer.
You can never go wrong with a margarita in Texas! This one from Bar Manzanilla, on the first floor of the complex, is flavorful and strong. Cheers!
Bar Manzanilla also offers small plates and tapas, such as the shrimp sample pictured above.
One of the upstairs restaurants, called Texas C Bar, has a space to smoke cigars. We met a professional Cuban cigar roller and went home with some cigars!
Also at Texas C Bar, guests can wine and dine from nearly 300 wine choices and a handful of chef-driven entrees to pair with your glass. Here, Executive Chef Roberto Madrid shares with us the menu plan for this concept. On the other side of Texas C Bar, scotch lovers can taste from 88 different scotches from around the world!
We ended our menu sampling with a sweet finish – a parfait made in-house by the Big Beat Dallas pastry chef.
