FOOD IN FASHION INNOVATIVE RUNWAY SHOW ANNOUNCES RETURN TO TRINITY GROVES
Food in Fashion, one of the most creative foodies and fashionista events returns this forthcoming February for its second year. Last year’s event, featured a perfect fusion of restaurant, beverage and hospitality partnerships, a diverse mix of creative fashions that wowed the runway, and several guests fashionably adorned in their foodie themed cocktail attire.
The culinary and fashion industry in Dallas will once again reunite forces to present a fundraising reception that drew an overwhelming guest turnout for its inaugural event last February.  WFAA’s Ron Corning returns as the fashion show emcee, along with Durty Laundry that provided tunes for the perfect rhythm to the catwalk.
Presented by the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association, Food in Fashion blends together the city’s most creative fashion industry professionals with the city’s most popular food service establishments to produce the most innovative runway show Dallas has seen. The concept of the event involves emerging fashion designers partnering with restaurant industry businesses to create fashions for models that are often literally good enough to eat. Each fashion model struts the runway in attire that incorporates something edible, drinkable or a service item representing one of the event’s restaurant industry partners.
Proceeds are earmarked for Prostart, The Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation’s public school culinary career education program in Dallas ISD and other Texas high schools. Teams will unite Dallas ISD trustees with students in the district’s culinary education programs to compete on-site in preparing uniquely crafted gourmet bites.
The event’s organizers invite businesses across North Texas to participate in this unique evening. The 2018 planning committee team are currently seeking Fashion Industry Partners – fashion designers, retail apparel stores, fashion design schools, costume designers for theater, professional stylists, clothing manufacturers, wholesale apparel businesses, fashion publications, and Restaurant Industry Partners – restaurants, bars, caterers, independent chefs, food stylists, restaurant supply companies, food or beverage distribution companies, breweries, and distilleries.
Businesses interested in becoming a Food in Fashion partner are requested to send an email to [email protected], to receive general information on the benefits they will receive as a partner and guidelines governing the event. Â The event also welcomes volunteers, Â in-kind sponsorships, and donations for silent auction and VIP swag bags
