Huffhines Art Trails is Still Blazing the Trail in its 41st Year with More than 160 Artists
This year, the 41st Huffhines Art Trails will showcase the creative hand work of more than 160Â artists and craftsman including 35 new artists, providing shoppers more to peruse, more to choose and more to buy. Houston based collage artist, Lisa Morales, has been named Featured Artist for this year. Her whimsical, colorful and intricate collages will be on display all weekend.
You can listen to live music all day from local cover bands in the Craft Beer Garden plus there’s plenty of shaded seating to just sit and relax with a cold drink and enjoy the music and the people. And if the music makes you feel like jumping up, and grabbing a dance partner, the Festival installs a temporary dance floor each year for just that purpose.
Local craft brews, favorite beers, a variety of wines and some delicious festival food choices are available here but you’ll find lots more tasty festival foods, tables and covered seating at the Food Court along the park’s south entrance and along the trails- just follow your nose.
For kids, there’s a brand new Scavenger Hunt that’ll have them searching all over the Festival trails for a list of items to find and collect before heading back to the Festival Headquarters to claim their prize.
Huffhines Art Trails is the perfect place to find those unique holiday gifts for family, friends, teachers, co-workers or maybe, just you. The natural beauty of the park in October and the fall vignettes created at the Festival’s entrance and all along the trails provide a colorful scenic backdrop for photos of friends and family- or the family dog. If you look all around the Festival, taking in all its sights, sounds, smells and colors, you may catch the beginning of that holiday spirit in this beautiful park setting!
