Deep Ellum Art Co. Grand Opening feat. Larry g(EE), Sam Lao & LEV
Multi-use creative space Deep Ellum Art Co. is thrilled to announce its Grand Opening after a slew of successful soft opening events this September. Founded by entrepreneur and creative advocate John LaRue, Deep Ellum Art Co. is Dedicated to the Creative and Native®.
Doors will open for the Grand Opening party at 9 p.m. with live music starting at 10 p.m. with a set by electro-pop artist LEV, alternative R&B/pop singer Larry g(EE) at 10:45 p.m. and hip-hop lyricist Sam Lao at midnight. g(EE) will headline the evening with a set of new, never-been-heard songs from his forthcoming EP out next year.
Once a printing press repair shop, and before that an auto parts and service center for a local dealership in the ’50s, the creative space will include an indoor and outdoor art gallery, a stage for live music and a nearly 60-foot bar. The 5,000 square foot building, built in 1949, is flanked by roughly 10,000 square feet of treed outdoor space.
The mixed-use creative facility will combine an art gallery with 31 taps, 24 beers and seven cocktails, food trucks, indoor and outdoor event/performance spaces,  and an ambitious outdoor street art gallery to complement the more than 20 artists featured all over the building.
LaRue, who also owns So-Cal Tacos in Grapevine, wants to use the new multi-use location to preserve the artistic value that makes Deep Ellum unique and bring the creative community together.
