The Grill at Galleria Dallas debuts new menu items
The Grill at Galleria Dallas specializes in traditional, all-American style fare. The five-star restaurant is known for Prime Steaks and Chops, fresh seafood that’s flown in daily and more. The restaurant offers this variety and recently added several new menu items for its guests to check out. Diners will see newly-added seafood and other light options, which comes in at a great time as we’re entering the summer season!
I attended a media dinner to experience the new menu and met The Grill’s Executive Chef Michael Stewart, who flew in from the HQ in California, to share his culinary creations with us.
First up, we tried out the Crab & Hamachi Sushi Roll (pictured below), which has avocado, mango, tobiko and lime tucked into each roll. The chef presented each food item with a paired wine, so this sushi roll goes great with a glass of Rose. It’s a lighter option when it comes to sushi and still tastes amazing.
Another light appetizer just added the menu is Ahi Tuna Poke, also with avocados, and a side of cripsy wontons chips. Yum!
Now if you’re craving a heavier appetizer, try the new Nueske’s Slab Bacon. You can’t go wrong with this! A sweet maple bourbon glaze dresses the meat. The pieces are so tender that they just melt in your mouth.
Switching gears to entrees. The Grill as you know is famous for its steaks and chops, an a new addition to this category is the Pork Tomahawk Chop. You have your traditional pork chops (14-oz, bone in) with an apple compound butter sauce. This applesauce-like dressing in an innovative way to sweeten up the flavor of the pork chops.
But wait – there’s more! The Prime New York Strip, below, is another piece of serious high-end meat. The steak on the normal entree is 18 ounces and is one of the reasons what makes The Grill so fantastic for steak. You can add a side like mushrooms, jumbo shrimp, truffle butter and more.
For sides, I’m a sucker for lobster mashed potatoes (shown on the left below). I could even eat it as my entire meal if I could! The signature side is not to miss at The Grill. I promise you’ll enjoy the ooey-gooey cheesy flavor with big chunks of lobster. The roasted vegetables, on the right below, is a lighter take on sides and packed with vegges in a savory dressing.
We concluded our dinner with a giant slice of Coconut Cake. And yes, this is the exact way the slices are served regularly! It’s six layers high. Tip: Pair it with a Riesling for a sweet finish.
The Grill is located inside Galleria Dallas at 13270 Dallas Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75240. Visit The Grill not only for lunch and dinner, but for brunch and happy hour too! For more details on The Grill, check out their website.
