Nerdy nights at @nerdvana in Frisco
Owners of @nerdvana.coffee+shop in Frisco Square have opened a full-service restaurant next door called @nerdvana.food+spirits. Unlike any other concept in North Texas, this upscale restaurant and bar focuses on contemporary American dining, craft drinks and the celebration of the video game culture. Guests can enjoy food from the scratch kitchen and craft drinks over their favorite video games!
Join in on a game of FIFA, Rocket League and much more at the bar and at the game lounge near the dining room. There’s no cost to play!
Many of the menu items pay homage video games and characters including the Old Skull cocktail or the Shrimp Diablo appetizer. A full menu is available and features a variety of sandwich melts, hearty salads, shareable appetizers and many protein-filled entrees. Here’s a look at some of the made-from-scratch menu items:
Hadouken Beef: seared tender beef medallions with pickled vegetables and spicy ginger vinaigrette. (Named after a special attack in the Street Fighter series.)
Shrimp Diablo (named after the action role-playing game)
The Steak Melt below is considered a “hand held,” which is one of the sandwich options.
Chef Mike’s Fried Fried Steak Medallions — one of the most notable items on the menu!
A sweet finish to any meal is the S’Mores Duval (named after Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford). With torched Marshmallow cream, chocolate mousse and graham cracker crust, it’s sure to please your sweet tooth!
So grab a few friends and come by @nerdvana.food+spirits for a fun and retro time! The restaurant is open for dinner now and will also be open for Sunday brunch beginning Jan. 15. Visit their Facebook page for details on the upcoming grand opening celebration and other news.
