Second BrainDead Brewing Festicle

festicle

Brewvolution, LLC (founders of Big Texas Beer Fest) have teamed up with BrainDead Brewing (BDB) to produce the second edition of the BrainDead Festicle! Reminiscent of Dark Lord Day (an annual barrel-aged bottle release at Three Floyds in Indiana), the Festicle is Dallas’ own celebration of barrel-aged and wild beers.

BDB’s own, Chef Pena, will be serving up barbecued meats, as well as poke bowls and tacos from BDB’s upcoming concept, Bowls and Tacos. This event combines a craft beer sampling, music concert, bottle release and a barbecue. Bottle and ticket packages range from $45-120, or general admission tickets will be available at the door for $50. Festival goers can expect to sample from 60+ barrel-aged and wild beers from 35+ breweries. In addition, The Bruery, Firestone Walker, Funkwerks and Lakewood Brewing will be on hand serving up some of their best barrel-aged and wild creations!

A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit local 501(c)3 charity, Brain Injury Network of Dallas (BIND). BIND provides supportive services for adult survivors of acquired brain injury and joins the gap between medical and independent rehabilitation. Several BIND members will be on hand pouring beer samples. This means that if you’re able to attend, you can grab a beer sample from one of the members who will directly benefit from the event.

In addition to the festival, the brewpub will be open to the public at no charge, and pouring nearly every beer that BDB has ever brewed since opening day.
