R Taco Donates 10% of Dallas Sales to Fight Hunger on National Taco Day

R Taco

R Taco, a distinctive fast-causal taco concept featuring flavorful street-style tacos, is celebrating National Taco Day by donating 10 percent of Dallas and Denver restaurant food and non-alcoholic beverage sales on October 4th to area food banks. Locally, these proceeds will benefit the North Texas Food Bank. R Taco has also pledged to donate $1 for each check-in on the restaurant’s Yelp page and Dallas Facebook pages on National Taco Day.

In addition to supporting local food banks, R Taco will be celebrating National Taco Day with a welcoming in-store atmosphere, including gift card and merchandise giveaways as well as live entertainment at select stores for guests who dine in.

Participating locations in Dallas include: Greenville Ave., Medical District, Oak Lawn, Preston Hollow, Denton and Mesquite. Participating Denver locations include Arvada and Littleton. R Taco will host a check presentation highlighting the final amount raised in partnership with the North Texas Food Bank following National Taco Day.

About R Taco
R Taco features street-style tacos, all made fresh from scratch, by hand, and on premise. Warm chips, house-made salsas, craft beers and no-frills margaritas round out the experience. There are fourteen total locations; seven company-owned and seven franchised in four markets – Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Omaha. R Taco was founded by Steve Dunn and Rusty Fenton, who together wanted to one day own their own street taco stand. The original R Taco opened in 2010 and is located on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, Texas, a spot Rusty and his family had dreamed about for years.
