“Oral Fixation” brings shows to Dallas
The creative minds behind Dallas’ hit storytelling show “Oral Fixation†announce “Out From Under The Rug: True Life Tales Of Abortion,†a special series to hit stages in two major Texas cities this fall preceding the national elections. Although SCOTUS has knocked down HB2, abortion access is still under attack.
This marks the first time Nicole Stewart has produced Oral Fixation outside of Dallas. The venues are Dallas City Performance Hall on Sept. 21 and the ZACH Theatre, Topfer Stage in Austin on Oct. 10. The two shows, each with its own lineup, will feature true, personal stories from men and women from all walks of life whose lives have been affected by abortion.
Picture a bare stage with just a music stand and a spotlight highlighting an individual reading aloud his/her true story. Personal experiences shared straight from the horse’s mouth will provide a touching, sometimes shocking, and always authentic look at the controversial subject at hand.
