Renaissance Dallas Hotel: 5th Annual Global Day of Discovery (Event Recap)

This past Thursday, the Renaissance Dallas ouray co hotel hosted the 5th Annual Global Day of Discovery. Joined by over 170 other Renaissance brand hotels, the Global Day of Discovery event celebrated all things local featuring musicians, crafters, artisans and designers from the DFW metroplex. The 10,000 square foot City View and Terrace set the stage for a spectacular evening.

Guests enjoyed a special housemade punch featuring Austin Cocktails plus complimentary tastings from local breweries Community Beer Company and Deep Ellum Brewing Company Local artisans including Full City Rooster, Bisous Bisous Patisserie, Steel City Pops, Dude Sweet Chocolate, Empire Bakery and the Mozzarella Company also featured samplings of their products.

The culinary teams from in-house restaurant Asador led by executive chef Brad Philips and banquet catering team led by Chef Frank Quant offered its famous charcuterie featuring local artisan cheeses, in-house cured meats and specialty jams and mustards, as well as a whole roasted pig.

Guests shopped local artisans including Hearth & Hovel, Gaston Made, Erin West Ceramics, and White Rock Soap Gallery. DJ Ralph Will opened for a surprise performance by local legend ISHI, who engaged the crowd with a high-energy performance.
