“Chalk Talk” sports medicine series comes to Frisco

Sci-Tech Discovery Center is bringing their ‘mind stretching fun’ to an important and informational speaker series for families with Chalk Talk, presented by Baylor Medical Center at Frisco and featuring sports medicine and training experts. The presentations are meant to educate families and to start dialogue with their children and teams about the importance of preventing injury. These sessions are ideal for children ages 9 and up, parents, coaches and educators. Best of all, the events are completely FREE and open to the public!

The second of three Chalk Talk sessions will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 6-7:30 p.m. and will cover the topic: Training, Conditioning, Performance and Diet. Learn how to prepare for higher level of sports through training, conditioning, and diet to raise your performance level in a safe and productive way. This session will be led by Brian Quesenberry (LMT, PES, CES) who serves as the General Manager of Baylor Medical Center at Frisco’s sports performance center and Alan Russell (MS, ATC, PES, CES) who is the Director of Training & Development for Fusionetics.

Younger children are welcome as well and can participate in hands-on activities with Sci-Tech educators while the session is taking place next door. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.
