Wilco will be playing at the Palladium Ballroom on Friday, October 9th!

For the last 2 years I’ve been waiting for Wilco to announce they would be coming to Dallas. Wilco had announced their tour dates back in the Spring of 2009 and Texas was nowhere on the list. So this comes as a huge surprise for all the Texas fans out there when they announced the additional Texas cities to their tour.

For those of you unfamiliar with Wilco but want to check them out, buy the album Sky Blue Sky or Mermaid Avenue with Billy Bragg. If you want to check out a couple songs first, I recommend Hate it Hear or Impossible Germany. Although California Stars with Billy Bragg is what ultimately turned me on to Wilco, their down-to-earth tone in Hate it Hear is what sold me. Ticket prices or information has not been released. Public on sale begins Saturday Aug 1, 2009 at 10:00am via Ticketmaster.
