New Festival Will Transform Klyde Warren Park Into a Mini Version of Dallas

A brand new festival is set to transform downtown Dallas’ Klyde Warren Park into a mini version of Dallas, where 15 local neighborhoods are represented by their top local vendors, influencers, and artists. The Dallas Kwestival aims to showcase the best Dallas has to offer all in one exciting place. Visitors can peruse the different neighborhood tents and try out local eats, treats, swag and more from some of the best in the Big D.

The event can also be experienced as one giant digital scavenger hunt, through the use of the mobile app Kwest (thus ‘Kwestival,’ get it?) Users can experience the park and learn more about the participating vendors, and the city itself, using their smart phone as a guide.

Many other Dallas organizations have come on to sponsor the event, such as WFAA (Official TV Sponsor) Dallas CVB, and the Dallas Zoo, and will be incorporated into the event in customized fashion. (Yes, there will be Zoo animals.) Local musicians and artists will also be peppered throughout the event offering their own personal flare.

The event is being put on by Kwest, a Dallas‐based digital scavenger hunt mobile app, and Three Twelve Co., an event planning company founded by Lauren Lee of Lala’s Cakes.

About Kwest

Kwest provides a brand new, better way to explore your city. Using your smartphone as a guide, Kwest allows you to embark on a unique journey through your city, learn new things about familiar places, and earn discounted swag from local merchants, as well as digital currency to utilize moving forward. It’s a scavenger hunt reimagined for the digital age, as users navigate their way through various cities using the most up‐to‐date mobile technology, such as location‐based riddles and puzzles, GPS compass‐navigation, image recognition and augmented reality. There is no longer a valid excuse to say “There’s nothing to do in this town!”

Kwests are currently available in Deep Ellum, Dallas Arts District, Bishop Arts District, Denton Square, and historic downtown Grapevine.

Kwest was founded in November of 2014 in Dallas, Texas and continues to call it home today. Learn more about Kwest at http://www.gokwest.com/ and drop them a line at [email protected].
