Life in Deep Ellum will be hosting the second annual Deep Ellum Urban Race on Saturday April 25^th. The race will encourage teams to work together to complete tasks such as mural painting, crafting instruments and solving brain bending challenges that celebrate the unique nature of one of Dallas’ most historic neighborhoods.

Following the race, participants can expect a good time at the after party where food and drinks will be available while prizes are awarded. First place winners get $300 cash, second place will be awarded $200 in prizes and third place winners will receive gift cards to local Deep Ellum restaurants.

This creative scavenger hunt and party will serve as a fundraiser to help revitalize the Deep Ellum community cultural center. Life in Deep Ellum will receive a much needed face-lift with renovations including indoor remodel of the lounge area and music stage, furniture, updated bar design, stainless steel countertops and a functional marketplace for local artists to sell curated art and other goods.

All the more reason to join in the festivities!
