French Festival of Short Films at McKinney Avenue Contemporary
Alliance Française de Dallas presents the first French Festival of short films in the Metroplex beginning Thursday, May 21st, 2009 at 7pm.

The following short films will be screened on Thursday (English subtitles for all movies):
1. Le Mozart des pickpockets – The Mozart of pickpockets
De Philippe Pollet-Villard – 30 mn
Philip and Richard live in a petty theft Barbès. They are responsible for a Romanian child, deaf and dumb. After trying to get rid of them, they attempt to “work”. Despite the language barrier, the child eventually finds its own way to thief.
2. Bonne Nuit Malik – Good Night Malik
De Bruno Danan – 15mn
Malik shares the same room as his little brother Bilal. Both seem worried because of their new work: Malik is on trial for a night job, Bilal has to write a poem for school. Portrait of two brothers…
3. Même les Pigeons vont au Paradis – Even the Pigeons go to Heaven
De Samuel Tourneux – 8mn40
A priest conducts a frenzied chase to save a soul in peril.
4. Heureux qui comme Edouard –
De Vincent Burgevin et Frank Lebon – 21mn 15s
Edouard, a young ambitious part, comes from being engaged by the multinational Crésus Inc, modern temple of the profit. He will become the new star of growth at all costs, and lead a choir absurd union, shareholders and owners until the great climax mélodie libérale.
5. Magic Paris
De Alice Winocour – 20mn
Kate is alone in Paris for the weekend. In this unfamiliar city, she is going to meet a man and his dog.
