Shakespeare Is Turning 450 And You’re Invited

“So wise so young, they say, do never live long.” Ah, Shakespeare. Indeed they don’t. But that doesn’t mean there’s no reason to celebrate the life of such a great bard as he. Join Shakespeare Dallas this Friday night at a party that’s sure to be more epic than a summer’s day.

Not familiar with Shakespeare Dallas? Methinks you should be. What started out as The Shakespeare Festival of Dallas in 1971, the company was revamped and rebranded in 2005 aspiring to use the works of William Shakespeare to provide enriching artistic and educational programs for the community. They’re best known for Shakespeare in the Park, an awesome production in an open-air amphitheater that allows anyone to enjoy a play in the great outdoors. Plus, you can bring your own coolers, picnics, blankets and lawn chairs. They also produce Shakespeare on the Go! and Shakespeare Unplugged, programs that relate easier to children and are overall more interactive. Check out the website below for more information on all their programs.

Bard’s Birthday Bash (By the way, “bard” refers to a poet. Shakespeare is so cool that he’s actually known as “The Bard”. Dude’s got swagger.) will feature a live and silent auction, a cash bar, hor d’oeuvres and is cocktail attire. Although, if you’ve got an awesome Shakespearian costume, break that bad boy out and start brushing up on your iambic pentameter. I’m sure we’d all appreciate it. To party, or not to party? Thou shalt not ask such a silly question.
